Our trainings are designed for everyone, from complete beginners to experienced sailors. Each program is tailored to your current skills and personal goals — whether it’s learning the basics for the first time, refreshing maneuvers, refining advanced techniques, or mastering leadership and safety routines on board. Even the most experienced sailors can find areas to improve, and every participant benefits from focused guidance and practical exercises. The training adapts to you, ensuring that each session is both relevant and rewarding.

We charge the training on a per-day basis. The price covers the skipper/instructor, preparation, and organization of the session. Travel expenses are reimbursed according to receipts. Meals can be covered either via a shared onboard fund (“Bordkasse”) or a daily flat rate, depending on the arrangement. Any additional costs, such as charter fees, fuel, mooring or other port charges, are usually shared among the participants/the crew. All details are clarified transparently before booking, so there are no surprises.

We can conduct trainings on your own yacht or on a charter boat. Training on your own yacht has a particular advantage: it allows you to discover the strengths and weaknesses of your boat firsthand, and work together with an experienced skipper to optimize handling, setup, and onboard routines. The perspective of an experienced sailor is invaluable, as they notice details and opportunities that are easy to overlook. If you don’t have your own yacht yet, we’re happy to help. Through our contacts in the charter world, we can recommend suitable sailing regions and reliable charter companies with a good selection of different yacht types.

Our trainings primarily focus on European sailing regions, where the charter market is largest and the infrastructure is best developed. The exact location depends on your goals, the season, and your preferences — and we’re happy to advise you on the most suitable options. Trainings outside of Europe are also possible, for example if an owner’s yacht is overseas. Please note that overseas trainings generally involve higher travel and logistics costs. While Europe remains our main focus, we are flexible and can organize sessions in other regions when it makes sense.

Any time frame is possible. Skills come from practice — the more you sail, the more confident you become. Most of our clients choose 7–14 days to get into real routines and cover a full range of situations.

No license is necessary. This is hands-on practice — a chance to train and grow in real conditions without the pressure of an exam.

Yes. At the end of the training, you’ll receive a sea miles confirmation signed by your instructor, suitable for license applications.

Absolutely. However, the value of the training lies in the focused attention of the instructor, so we recommend keeping the crew as small as possible — for example, your future main crew.
